ခေတ်အဆက်ဆက် ပြည်သူလူထုကို နည်းမျိုးစုံနဲ့ သတ်ဖြတ်ညှဉ်းဆဲ ဖိနှိပ်ရမ်းကား ဒုက္ခပေးနေတဲ့ စစ်ကြီး သုံးစစ်ကို ကျမတို့ မြေလှန် အဆုံးသတ်နိုင်ဖို့ ကြိုးပမ်းသွားရပါမယ်။ ဖက်ဆစ်အတွေးအခေါ်တွေနဲ့ ပြည်သူလူထုကို အနိုင်ကျင့်တဲ့ စစ်တပ်၊ စစ်တပ်အသွင်ပြောင်း အရာရှိတွေနဲ့ တည်ဆောက်ထားတဲ့ စစ်ဗျူရိုကရက် အုပ်ချုပ်ရေးစနစ်၊ တပ်ဟောင်းတပ်သစ် အနွယ်တော်များ၊ မိတ်ဆွေများနဲ့ တည်ဆောက်ထားတဲ့ စစ်လက်ဝါးကြီးအုပ် စီးပွားရေးစနစ်၊ ဒီစစ်သုံးစစ်ကို ကျမတို့ ဖယ်ရှားကြရပါမယ်။ ဒီစစ်တွေ မရှိရင် ကျမတို့ တိုင်းပြည်ကြီးဟာ သာတူညီမျှမှု၊ ငြိမ်းချမ်းမှု၊ ဖွံ့ဖြိုးမှုတို့ကို အခြေတည်တဲ့ ဖက်ဒရယ် ပြည်ထောင်စုကြီး စစ်စစ် ဖြစ်လာတော့မှာပါ။ မတရားမှုဟာ ဥပဒေဖြစ်လာရင် တော်လှန်ခုခံမှုဟာ တာဝန်တရပ်ဖြစ်လာတယ် ဆိုတဲ့အဆိုအမိန့်အတိုင်း စစ်အာဏာရှင်စနစ်ကို ဆန့်ကျင်နေကြသော ပြည်သူတရပ်လုံးကို ဦးညွတ်ပါတယ်။

Khin Ma Ma Myo was born in Taunggyi, Shan State. She holds BA(Hons) in International Studies and MA in Economics from University of Aberdeen. From the same University, she also holds MSc in Strategic Studies, where she specialized in Peace and Security studies; and MRes (Political Research) specializing in peace and conflict studies. Khin Ma Ma Myo also holds Diploma in Business Administration from University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate, Diploma in Information Technology from NCC (UK), Diploma in Government and Politics from Open University (UK) and Journalism from ASET (UK). She is an alumni of University of Cambridge Enterprisers Program and Peace Leadership Fellow Program of Center for Peace and Conflict Studies (CPCS), based in Cambodia. She is also the PhD (OD) candidate of Assumption University, Thailand.
Currently, she is working as the Union Minister of Commerce for National Unity Government. She used to work as the Deputy Minister of Defence for National Unity Government, Director of Research and Training for Myanmar Development Institute (MDI) and technical advisor of Myanmar Institute of Gender Studies (MIGS) and Myanmar Institute of Peace and Security Studies (MIPSS). She was the Founder and Executive Director of Myanmar Institute of Peace and Security Studies (MIPSS), Myanmar Institute of Gender Studies (MIGS) and Myanmar Institute of Politics and Public Policy (MIPP). She has also worked with several CSOs, INGOs and international organizations as a lecturer, training consultant, research consultant in the fields of Women, Peace and Security (WPS), gender, development, democracy, federalism and political economy analysis.
She has presented research papers at the academic conferences in University of Oxford, University of Birmingham, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), Doha Forum, University of Yangon and participated as a panel speaker in several conferences, forums and high level seminars. Her research interests include peace and conflict studies, peace economics; economics of defense and security; regional and urban economics; natural resources and environmental economics; and cross-cutting issues of gender and social inclusion. During a time of upheaval in Myanmar, Khin Ma Ma Myo spent many years as a Coordinator for the Burmese Democratic Movement Association (2003-04) as a Media and Campaigns Director for the Democratic Federation of Burma (2004-08) and as an elected Joint-General Secretary of the Free Burma Federation (2008-12). Khin Ma Ma Myo has written for and been published widely in the Burma Digest Journal, Renaissance Journal, Burma Today Journal, Women Rights Journal, Maukka Education Magazine and various political and education journals. She previously worked in exile as the Editor of Burma Digest Journal and Chief-Editor for the Freedom Journal of Burma. She used to facilitate in Myanmar Peace Process (2016-2020) as a technical advisor to Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC-EAOs), an advisor of security sector working group of Union Peace Dialogue Joint Committee (UPDJC-EAOs). From 2016-2020, She has attended the Union Peace Conference (UPC) as a delegate for Security Sector Dialogue and Political Dialogue. She was the Chairman of BODs of Myanmar Land Core Group (2016-2019), and currently serves as BOD member for several organizations.
Outside her academic work, her interests include reading, writing, social services work and travelling. Her articles are widely published in various journals and magazines in Myanmar. She is the author of China and Indian Ocean: Strategic Interests in the 21st Century (2010), Poverty Reduction (2013), Women and Politics (2013), War, Conflicts and Peace Article Series (2014), Gender and Politics (2014), Politics, State and Sovereignty (2017). In 2016, she was honored by US-based Citizen of Burma Organization with Citizen of Burma Special Award for her contribution in socio-political changes in Myanmar.
